Signature Diagnostics AG announced today that the company has developed a new gene expression classifier, that predicts the risk of recurrence and metastasis (progression of disease) in stage I and II colorectal cancer. Presenting at the Annual Conference of the AGD 2007 in Potsdam, Dr. Hans-Peter Adams gave an overview about the molecular and clinical performance of the new classifier. The molecular classifier named Predictor-C is a powerful new prognostic tool to assess the individual risk of metastasis of stage I and II colorectal cancer patients directly after surgery and will have a profound impact on the treatment decision for patients and physicians.
